National League South: Oxford City 1 Truro City 2 – 30/03/2016


Truro City secured all three points with a comfortable victory against Oxford City, in a crucial encounter involving two teams vying for a play-off place. Two early goals from Isaac Vassell and Matthew Wright were enough to see off the hosts, despite Marlon Jackson halving the deficit a minute shy of half-time. National League South: Oxford City 3 Wealdstone 2 – 19/03/2016


A magnificent solo goal from Conor McDonagh sealed all three points for Oxford City, after they came from 2-1 down to produce a vital victory. Wealdstone were ahead twice with goals from Jonny Wright & Bradley Hudson-Odoi, but Kynan Isaac, Bradley Bubb and McDonagh ensured The City remain well and truly in play-off contention. Wealdstone on the other hand saw a nine-match unbeaten run come to an end with mid-table more than likely to be their destiny this season. Continue reading…

National League South: Hayes & Yeading 2 Dartford 2 – 01/03/2016


Hayes & Yeading threw away a two goal lead against play-off contenders Dartford, who fought back well to earn a share of the spoils. All four goals were scored in an exciting first half, with Hayes & Yeading going two up thanks to strikes from Elliot Benyon and Shepherd Murombedzi. Soon afterwards, Dartford ensured they went into the interval level with goals from brothers, Elliot and Tom Bradbrook. The second half failed to see either side make the breakthrough, although Benyon hit the post for the hosts in the dying embers of the game, in a half dominated by the hosts. Continue reading…
